The University of KwaZulu-Natal, also known as UKZN, is a university with five campuses in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. It was formed on 1 January 2004 after the merger between the University of Natal and the University of Durban-Westville.
UKZN Online applications will close on 30 June for Medicine qualifications and 30 September for all other Undergraduate Programmes.
UKZN will not consider any late applications.
Applications to study at UKZN are done through the Central Applications Office (CAO) Online.
CAO application fees work a bit different. This means that you pay R250 for South Africans citizens and R300 for international applicants and this will cover all the applications done for all Universities in the province, using CAO.
You should pay the UKZN application fee when you make your application to study at UKZN. When submitting a CAO application, a full on-time administration fee of R250 needs to be paid and this will cover all applications done on the CAO system.
If you are applying for NSFAS funding you can indicate this with your application and ask for them to waive the application fee.
